Commander Gregor Malikov is the son of former Soviet Armed Forces officer General Vladimir Malikov, who faked his death during the Battle of Stalingrad under direct orders from Joseph Stalin. Before Stalin’s reported death in 1953, Gregor and his father met with Stalin and Soviet General Vadim Reznikov to orchestrate a secret plan to fake the Soviet leader’s death and smuggle him out of the country to his private island near Russia and Kasnia.

Sometime during the 1960s, following Stalin’s disappearance from the Soviet Union, Stalin, Reznikov, and Vladimir Malikov established Leviathan, a rogue Spetsnaz terrorist organization operating beyond Soviet government authority. Gregor was appointed as the organization’s top field commander, responsible for overseeing Leviathan’s military and terrorist operations throughout Europe. Meanwhile, his father returned to the Soviet Armed Forces, as the Soviet government remained aware of his survival.

During the early 2000s, Gregor orchestrated and participated in numerous terrorist attacks linked to Leviathan, earning himself a place among the CIA’s ten most-wanted terrorists worldwide. His campaign of violence eventually came to an end in 2014 when the Steelborne Wolves Special Forces Unit captured him in Rome, Italy. Following his arrest, Gregor was imprisoned in a high-security facility in Sardinia, where he remained incarcerated for years. However, his father believed he had been killed, fueling Vladimir Malikov’s desire for vengeance against those responsible for his son’s supposed death.

Following the defeat of Joseph Stalin, General Vadim Reznikov, and Leviathan’s remaining leadership in Kazakhstan in 2026, Gregor Malikov emerged as the founder and leader of the Helios Reclamation Front (HRF). Alongside surviving Leviathan loyalists and his closest allies, Malikov sought to rebuild the organization’s influence and avenge its downfall.

Under his leadership, the HRF launched major military operations across Europe and the United States, seizing control of Berlin and New York City. The organization also orchestrated the kidnapping of Russian President Nikolai Dragunov as part of a larger scheme that nearly ignited World War III between the United States and Russia.
