Commander Jeremiah Mercer aka The Architect is the founder and leader of the rebel faction known as the Iron Covenant, later reorganized as the North Carolina Liberation Front (NCLF).

When the Necrothorn Virus spread across the United States, Mercer launched a campaign against the United States Military Response Authority (USMRA), eventually liberating North Carolina from its control. As the conflict escalated, many former USMRA loyalists found themselves fighting under Mercer’s banner, whether by loyalty, necessity, or circumstance.

Driven by a desire for vengeance, Mercer never forgot what he viewed as a betrayal by his former commanding officers, General Thrain Stonehelm and then-Captain Eve Torres. During the Afghanistan War in 2004, Mercer disobeyed Captain Torres’ direct orders and executed Taliban warlord Hassan Rahmani in cold blood. The incident would permanently fracture their relationship and set Mercer on a path that would ultimately lead him into rebellion.

Ruthless, charismatic, and determined, Jeremiah Mercer has become one of the most dangerous enemies facing the United States and the Steelborne Wolves.
